We absolutely loved our stay at this luxurious hotel! The location is absolutely breathtaking, nestled amidst lush jungle-clad cliffs that lead to a stunning stretch of beach. The staff here were exceptional - they were warm, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, with amazing views of the surrounding nature. The turndown service was a lovely touch, with a whiskey waiting for us each evening. The two young guys who served us from breakfast through to dinner were particularly memorable, providing us with personable service with a smile.

We highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in a beautiful natural setting.

Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, especially during our New Year's Eve stay. The hotel was not equipped for the occasion, with no party and no decorations.

Our stay on a beautiful island was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We enjoyed breakfast on the beach, the stunning sea view from our room, and the comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. One of our favorite spots was the private jetty. It was an extraordinary place to unwind and appreciate the impressive landscape. The beach was serene and relaxing.

While some of the services offered were extravagant, prices were high and lacked transparency.

Short trips to nearby islands were amazing, blending nature with polished cement was perfect. Samadhi Retreats' philosophy created a relaxed state of mind. Salvaged timber, island-chic living, and shopping options in Johor were a bonus.

Had to leave this paradise, such a shame!

Way to Go

To reach the resort it’s quite an adventure. It involves a few hours of ground transportation and a boat ride to finally get there. The location of the resort is stunning, surrounded by the jungle and a quiet beach. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is perfect to relax and disconnect. The meals are a highlight, their quality and portions are perfect.

Getting to the resort is quite an adventure and could be a hassle for some travelers. While the isolation and quiet ambiance create a perfect environment for relaxing, be ready to connect with nature and expect some wildlife sightings along the way.

This hotel offered me the best stay ever! The location is perfect, as it is really close to the sea, and I could easily go for a swim or go snorkeling right from the beautiful beach. Additionally, I loved the hotel facilities, especially the comfortable villas and the great service provided by the friendly staff.

We had an amazing experience at this luxury resort. The location is breathtaking, with untouched nature and a private beach. Even at the end of the Monsoon season, the tidal range makes snorkeling interesting, especially when entering off the jetty. The hotel is beautifully and sympathetically built into the jungle and coastline. The service provided here is top-notch. From room service to housekeeping, the staff was great, especially the manager on-site and the restaurant staff. They were all so friendly and helpful, always giving service with a smile. This place feels like a well-knit family, with everyone from the gardeners to the waiters to the management and reception working together seamlessly.
